Kids Circus I

Ages:  7 – 11 yrs

Fall Classes

  • Wednesdays 4:30 - 6:00 pm - FULL
  • Sundays 12:30 - 2:00 pm - 1 spot remaining

Circus 1 is an entry-level circus class focused on cultivating the strength, body awareness, confidence, and personal style needed to unleash your child’s circus potential.

Students will explore trapeze, fabric, hand balancing, tumbling, partner acrobatics, ball juggling, and object manipulation in classes that work on building a strong foundation in technique and artistry while encouraging creative expression.

With a low student-to-teacher ratio, individual attention allows students to progress at their own pace in a supportive group environment.

    Ages: 7-11 yrs

    Circus II focuses on growing technique foundations and broadening creative expression. Students will expand skill vocabulary in acrobatics, aerial, and juggling, and work to increase stamina, strength, and flexibility.

    Working together as pairs, groups, and as individuals, students will increase self-awareness, and build confidence, grace, and strength as they continue to cultivate their creative potential.

    With a low student-to-teacher ratio, individual attention allows students to progress at their own pace in a supportive group environment.

    Ages: 7-11 yrs

    Teen Circus II

    Ages:  8-14 yrs

    This class is an option for students who have advanced from Kid or Teen Circus I.  Aerial class focuses on static trapeze, aerial fabric, aerial sling and aerial hoop.

    Classes are designed to provide a solid foundation in aerial technique and artistry while encouraging creative expression. Complementary circus skills such as tumbling and hand balancing may be explored to help support aerial skill development.

    This class can also be a good fit for students with a background in movement such as gymnastics, rock climbing or martial arts.

    • Aerial class and Circus II/Circus III complement each other well.

    With a low student-to-teacher ratio, individual attention allows students to progress at their own pace in a supportive group environment

    Circus III focuses on continuing to build vocabulary, strength, stamina, and flexibility. There will be a strong emphasis on form, technique, style, and quality of movement while students experience in greater detail how each apparatus works.

    Students will use skills learned in Circus I and II to explore new ways to move in order to bring out the performer in themselves.

    Our Little Circus mini-series of classes offers a fun, guided way to discover circus arts. Classes facilitate children’s exploration of movement in a safe and non-competitive environment.

    Our trained staff introduce children to basic circus skills while developing motor skills, strength, balance, and flexibility. 

    We also explore musicality, creativity, and joy in movement, while developing social skills such as taking turns and following directions.

    Little Circus -Level II is for students who have already participated in a few series of Little Circus I and have mastered certain fundamental skills as well as displayed good class-taking etiquette. Our trained coaches help students explore a wider variety of circus skills while further developing motor skills, strength, balance, and flexibility.

    We will also explore musicality, creativity, and joy in movement, while strengthening social skills such as taking turns and following directions.

    Ages: 5-6 years
    Level: Intermediate

    Tiny Circus (Family Class)

    An extension of our little circus program, which offers a fun, guided way to discover circus arts, our tiny circus is designed for our youngest students. Every student needs to have an adult present who stays engaged with their child throughout class.

    Classes facilitate children’s exploration of movement in a safe and non-competitive environment. Our trained staff introduce children to basic circus skills while developing motor skills, strength, balance, and flexibility. We also explore musicality, creativity, and joy in movement, while developing social skills such as taking turns and following directions.

    Ages: 2 - 3 yrs with adult

      Youth Contortion

      Ages 9-15 yrs

      The contortion class is designed for students who want to learn the proper technique and strength necessary to pursue this beautiful art form.

      With a strong emphasis on injury prevention and conditioning, students will learn how to improve their active flexibility and range of motion in a safe manner. Students will build strength to stabilize and support their bodies.

      **Acceptance to the class is assessment-based.  

      Our 30-minute assessment costs $20.
